White House Announces New Policy on Deportations

08/18/11

The White House announced today that it is implementing a new policy that will target only undocumented aliens with serious criminal history.  The Government will not target undocumented immigrants who do not have any relief from deportation but have been crime free while in the United States.  This is HUGE news. Finally, the White House is exerting executive authority to fix this Nation's broken immigration system. Under this plan, undocumented immigrants with no serious criminal history will be permitted to remain in the United States and legally work and drive here. Now those that could not apply for relief from deportation will have a method to do so.
