| Ken Andrews is a former U.S. Immigration Prosecutor for the Department of Homeland Security. He represented the U.S. Government in the prosecution of aliens in removal proceedings before Immigration Judges frequently involving asylum, cancellation or adjustment of status claims, including appeals. . I am responsible for writing and responding to appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals. In addition, our office provides legal advice to other ICE agencies.
Before joining Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Ken was an Assistant State Attorney with both the Naples and Orlando State Attorneys Offices. He worked closely with victims, law enforcement officers, and witness to prosecute State felony and misdemeanor cases at all levels from traffic court, drug cases, assaults to murder.
Prior to his time at the State Attorney's Office, Ken practiced criminal law in private practice handling the initial phase of retaining clients, through final resolution of their cases including all negotiations, motions and jury trials if necessary. Ken has tried hundreds of cases before a jury including several complex cases such as fraud, embezzlement and murder.
Mr. Andrews has instructed in the paralegal program at Florida Southern College and has trainined law enforcement recruits in understanding the law and its connection with police situations.
