Time is of the essence when a person is detained by the immigration authorities. Depending on each situation, the authorities commence deportation procedures as soon as they take a person into custody. In many cases, the person will be transferred out of Florida to another facility in the United States. Representation by a local attorney may prevent this from happening. It is imperative that an attorney contact the immigration authorities to inform them that the detained person is represented by counsel. It is important to seek advice of counsel before signing any documents while in custody. Some people inadvertently sign their own deportation orders. Our attorneys are former U.S. Immigration Prosecutors and we can help you with your immigration case and release from immigration custody.
